Robert Parker: "Located in Buxières-sur-Arce (Côte des Bar) and working according to biodynamic principles, Bertrand and Hélène Gautherot handcraft superbly delicate and filigreed sparkling wines with pure but decisive vinous character. Although I have never met the family and only have a small amount of tasting experience with the Vouette & Sorbée Champagnes, I immediately fell in love with the wines I tasted this summer—the Blanc d'Argile, a Chardonnay that tastes like a Chablis; Textures, pure Pinot Blanc fermented on the skins in ceramic vessels, the Fidèle, a Pinot Noir of remarkable finesse and elegance; and certainly the dark colored Saignée de Sorbée, a delicate red Burgundy transformed to Champagne. Since then, Domaine Vouette & Sorbée has a top position on my "To Do" list."
