DOC Ribera del Duero The wines PETIT VEGA from Ribera del Duero is a personal project by Isaac Fernández Montaño, who is one of the most renowned oenologists in Spain and who has a long experience from the most important wineries in the Ribera del Duero wine region. He has been chief oenologist at several excellent wineries in Ribera del Duero such as. MAURO, VALDERIZ and NEO and his wines have always achieved great recognition. Thus, several of the wines have scored over 95 points by Robert Parker. The PETIT VEGA wines have also won several gold medals at international competitions and we are proud to offer his unique wines on the Dutch market. Tasting notes Fantastic intense cherry red color. In the nose elegant with a nice fusion of spices, menthol and fruity aromas. There are ripe dark berries and minerals. In addition, notes of coffee and liquorice. The taste is juicy and full-bodied. Dark ripe fruit and notes of coffee. This wine is incredibly elegant. It is a superb Ribera del Duero with beautifully integrated oak barrels and a long lasting finish. The wine can be enjoyed now or stored for another 4-5 years.

Harold Hamersma (9/10): "28 maanden gerijpt op hout. En mag zich daarom met recht Reserva noemen. Heeft ook opeens een zwart etiket in plaats van wit. Hij is voldoende gerijpt, maar nog niet uitgerijpt. Nog altijd veel belovend. Gitzwart fruit maakt plaats voor sigarenkistjes en een vol doosje toffifee. Is kwiek en kloek. En dat is knap voor z'n leeftijd. Gedistingeerd. Bestelt u maar alvast een lammetje."
