Black raspberries, spice and a hint of licorice on the nose - very inviting. Amazingly approachable on the palate for a young grand cru. Flavors are rich and supple, suggesting black cherries, raspberries and ripe plums with a melange of spice notes - blossoming in the glass with nuance and length. So good now you might not want to wait, but this certainly promises more depth and complexity with a little time.
Robert Parker (92+/100): "The 2016 Corton-Perrières Grand Cru isn't as ample and concentrated as the 2015 rendition, but it's an excellent wine, offering up attractive aromas of red cherries, roast game bird, licorice and incense. On the palate, it's full-bodied, ample and layered, with good depth at the core and a stony, precise finish. Cellar it for the better part of a decade before pulling corks."
