Robert Parker (90-92/100): "The 2014 Brouilly Alma Mater was taken from Jean-Claude's amphorae that stand to attention next to his more "orthodox" aging vessels (barrels and such like.) It has a very precise and elegant bouquet with raspberry preserve, touches of gravel and cold limestone, a little reserved at first but soon opening up. The palate is reserved, even foursquare, but that is because it had just been pressed. This has a lovely grainy texture coming through that I hope remains after bottling, mulberry and cranberry mixed with bay leaf furnishing the finish. This is a lovely Brouilly in the making."
