Robert Parker (91-93/100): "The 2012 Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens comes from two plots in the lieu-dit “Les Rugiens Bas”. It has an expressive marine-influenced bouquet with touches of sea spray infusing the brambly black fruit. It has a little more new oak at around 35%, which is translated onto the palate. There is certainly good weight present here, a solid, old school Les Rugiens with firm grip and freshness on the finish, the bead of acidity keeping everything tight and focused. Classy."
