WILLIAM DEUTZ is een eerbetoon aan de oprichter van Champagnehuis Deutz. Deze champagne wordt alleen van de beste druiven gemaakt en ook van een oogst jaar, in dit geval 2006. Deze vintage is een rijkdom op zich, fruit en finesse spatten het glas uit. Eerste tonen zijn fris fruit maar worden al snel opgevolgde door gebakken appel en subtiel gember en nootmuskaat. Genot op te drinken en zeker om even voor te gaan zitten.
Robert Parker (92/100): "The Millésime 2006 William Deutz Brut (LA110D27915) spent 100 months on the lees in bottle before disgorgement (October 2015). The blend of 66% Pinot Noir, 29% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Meunier displays ripe, concentrated, very aromatic fruit with citrus fruit zest flavors, candied lemons and aromatic herbs highlighted by pure mineral flavors. The palate is full-bodied, powerful and rich, with enormous tension and a touch of sweetness that makes the 2006 overly rich for my taste, at least at this stage. However, the wine has a firm structure and so much intensity, which is promising for excellent aging potential. Tasted June 2018."
